Three new docs on platform regulation and information integrity

Public policy produces a flood of documentation - from legislation, to regulations, to discussion documents and other proposals. The best public policy is built on effective and targeted consultation.

Digital regulation – the regulation of digital systems, including through the use of digital systems themselves – is growing in importance and volume. Despite that, the systems we use to gather feedback on regulatory documents are not optimised for digital processes.

Supporting better consultation

We see fantastic opportunities to make life easier for people creating, accessing and using regulation. Syncopate's DocRef system supports better publishing of secondary legislation (example here), as well as gathering feedback through consultation (more here).

Today we're sharing two new documents on information integrity and disinformation, which supplement our existing library of digital regulation instruments.

Two of these documents are still open for consultation, so we hope you can use DocRef to take notes privately, work out what you think, then collaborate with others through shared annotation sets and pinpoint linking. Access our user guide here.

To access the documents, see below, and reach out if you would like to publish an annotated document, host a consultation process, or have any other documents available on DocRef.

Let's work together

We are seeking projects that demonstrate what our tools can do. We want to work with regulators, professionals, researchers and others who see the benefits of optimised digital legal infrastructure.

Please reach out if you have any questions, suggestions or feedback.
